Tammy Lynn Combs, Age:50

Tammy Lynn Combs of Stephenville, TX died on July 13, 2021. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on June 14, 1971, to Harvey Newel Rogers and Linda Beatrice Miller. She graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia in May 1989.

 

She was married to Brian Mark Combs Sr for 27 years. He proceeded her in death on October 26, 2020. Tammy is survived by her children Ashley and Chris Cox of Forney, TX, Amber Combs of Rowlett, TX, Brian and Lauren Combs of Irving, TX, and Maria Combs of Stephenville, TX; grandchildren, Liam and Kinley Cox of Forney, TX and Glen Combs of Irving, TX; sister, Marilyn Dunsworth and her husband David of Plano, TX; brother, Harvey Rogers of Los Angeles, CA; and brother John Hood and his wife Jennifer and their children Ashley and Dylan of North Carolina.

 

Tammy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend to many. Tammy was pursuing a bachelor's degree at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. She had a servant's heart and poured it into everything she did, always being the strong, optimistic mom that her family could lean on. She and her husband spent 17 years serving as foster parents.

 

Tammy was devoted to her Christian faith. She taught and demonstrated those principles of love and humility in the home she made for many children through the years. She had a keen empathy and understanding for children gained from her faith and her personal childhood experiences. She expressed her joyful heart and love of family through scrapbooking, coloring, painting, and many crafts. She had a cheerful smile, an infectious laugh and was always up for fun, especially playing games and joking. Tammy’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.

 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mesquite Church of Christ, 400 West Davis Street, Mesquite, Texas. A memorial service and celebration of life will follow at 6:30 p.m.
