Gloria Kostel, Age:72

Gloria Kostel was born on February 9, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Eugene and Maria Murawski. At 72 years old, she passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Plano, Texas.  She was the wife of Richard Kostel.  They shared 53 years of marriage together.  

 

Gloria attended cosmetology school in her early years. She and her husband then successfully owned and operated thirteen Burger King restaurants for 43 years. Her talents were endless.  She was a gifted seamstress, an excellent cook, a beautiful interior designer and the ultimate hostess. She loved Christmas and was an amazing gift giver. Gloria traveled the world with her husband and went everywhere she could have imagined.  She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother.  

 

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Joyce Barthel and Eugene Murawski.  She is survived by her husband, Richard Kostel, her children Deanne Hinson, John Kostel and wife Tory, Amy Kostel and husband Matthew, grandchildren Madison Kostel, Morgan Hinson, Paige Teer, Mason Hinson, McKenzie Kostel, Elliot White, Charlie White. Ethan Novotny and Rylie Novotny.  Gloria is also survived by her other siblings, Veronica Slager, Marcella Lipinski, Ralph Murawski, Keith Murawski and his wife Pam, and her brother-in-law John Kostel and wife Flo, and sister-in-law Darlene Euler and husband John.   

 

At Gloria’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The immediate family will be having a private celebration of Gloria’s life.  As an expression of sympathy, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
