Russell Bentley, Age:54

Russell (Russ) Lyle Bentley Jr., 54, of McKinney, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at his home.  Celebration of Life events honoring Russ will be held in Illinois, Arizona, and Texas in the summer of 2021.

Russ was born February 11, 1967 in Berwyn, Illinois to Mr. Russell and Susanne (Adams) Bentley.  He graduated from The W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain Management in 1989.  After graduating from ASU, Russ worked as a Supply Chain Professional at various corporations in Illinois, Arizona and Texas.

Russ had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit.  As a young man, he enjoyed spending time with his numerous friends, playing volleyball, traveling, attending concerts, and attending/watching sporting events (both collegiate and professional).  He was a huge fan of all things Chicago; most notably, he was an avid and loyal Chicago Cubs fan.

Russ married Jacqueline Terrill on November 18, 2006 and they were blessed with two beautiful children – Russell Lyle III born in 2008 and Anastasia Elizabeth born in 2011.  Russ was a wonderful husband and a proud father who loved to spend time with his children.  He loved to build Lego sets and attend his daughter’s dance recitals.  Although he remained a Chicago Cubs fan, Russ’s favorite team was always his son’s baseball team and he loved to watch him play.  Russ’s love and devotion to his family has been best exemplified by his two-year unwavering and courageous battle against malignant melanoma.

Russ is survived by his wife Jacqueline; son Russell III; daughter Anastasia; mother Sue; and sister Renee Adams.
