Louis C. Bono, Age:62

Bono, Louis C.

Died July 22, 2020, in Dallas. Lou was born March 3, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in business from the University of North Texas.

Lou moved to Texas to take his first job at Vought Aircraft and worked on the B-2 Stealth Bomber. He married Jean Krone in May 1988 and they raised two sons, Brent and Shane Bono. Lou enjoyed a successful career utilizing his lean project management skill set with multiple companies, primarily in Richardson.

Lou’s gifts were diverse and his enthusiasm to share them remarkable. He loved Cajun and Tuscan cooking; sketching and painting outdoor scenes at home and on his travels; outdoor adventures and scouting with his boys; and delighting neighbors and spectators with face painting, balloons and juggling. Lou found joy intersecting his love of teaching and leading with his passions.

Lou is survived by his wife and sons, as well as his father and stepmother, Walter and Ruth Bono, brother Brad Bono, and sister Connie Britt, and their families, as well as Jean’s family that he always claimed as his own.

A virtual memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, at 11 a.m. CST. The inurnment will be at King of Glory Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to JDRF at JDRF.org (memorial), Southwestern Watercolor Society at swswatercolor.org (memorial award) or King of Glory Lutheran Church, Dallas.

I met Louis in our RealPage onboarding. We started the same day. He was very outspoken and outwardly friendly every time I saw him. I am terribly sorry for your loss. He seemed like one of the really good guys, and I liked him a lot.

Lou will be missed. He had a bright spirit, a kind heart, upbeat personality and patience for those of us that struggled with some of concepts he was trying to teach. I am sincerely sorry for your loss and wish you nothing but peace and blessings during this time.

I am still shocked to learn of Lou's death. My prayers and condolences goes out to his Family. Lou was a good friend to me at RealPage. Whenever he came to the I.T Tech Stop to get his laptop worked on. He and I would laugh and joke with each other and talk about who always had the shiniest bald head between him or me. LOL! I have to say, he had the smoothest, cleanest shaved head in the whole building. :-) He will be missed greatly, but he will always be here in our hearts.
