Donald A. Dale, 73, transitioned from this life to eternity with Jesus on April 21, 2020.

Don, as he was known to friends and family, was born on August 11, 1946 in Rochester, NY. He is survived by his children, Heather (Mark) Fignar of Portland, OR, Eric (Amy) Dale of McKinney, TX, and Gregg Dale of Morrisville, PA, five very loved grandchildren: Bekah, Ryan, Josiah, Annika, and Autumn, his brother Richard (Mary) Dale of Rochester, NY, and many other loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife Bonita Dale, his parents Alvin and Luella Dale and brother Robert Dale.

Prior to retirement, Bonnie and Don lived in North Chili, NY for more than 35 years, where they invested their time in church and family. After retirement, they moved to The Villages in 2016 and became beloved members of the community and their church, The Father’s House of Leesburg.

Shortly after graduating from Rush-Henrietta High School, Don joined the Air Force, serving as a Sergeant in the 665th Radar Squadron. He worked in a technical capacity throughout his career, evolving his skills as technology changed. He retired as a Senior IT Support Specialist from Unity Health Systems in Rochester.

Known for his easy smile and manner, he spent years running the sound equipment at church and umpiring for local youth baseball leagues. He spent his free time tinkering in his workshop or fixing things. A man of quiet faith, he served his family and church diligently.
