David Glenn Ostrander passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He fought courageously to live as long as he could, but the very aggressive cancer won out.

David was born in Amarillo, Texas, on March 29, 1940. He attended Amarillo High School, graduated from West Texas State University, and earned a masters degree from The University of Oklahoma. He worked for Rockwell International as a mathematician.

He was a resident of Plano, Texas, where he did a great job raising his daughter, Wendy, as a single parent. David lived an active life which included traveling to many places all over the world. He was an avid indoor gardener and had ivy tastefully growing throughout his home. He was deeply devoted to his wife Sumi.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Josephine Ostrander, brothers Bobbie Lee and David Joe, and a sister, Helen Cavin. He lost his precious daughter, Wendy, in December prior to his passing. He is survived by his wife Sumi Ostrander of the home, son-in-law Joe Kuhnart, granddaughter Shelby, grandson David, and great grandson, Abe. He is also survived by step daughters Sindy, Mindy, and Pinky, step granddaughter Jessica, and step grandson Micheal. He is also survived by his sister, Diana Russell (sp. Charles Russell), of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and nieces and nephews.
